OUR STEP BY STEP PROCESS
COMPLIMENTARY CALL + QUESTIONNAIRE
Every ACR project starts with a complimentary 15-minute call. This step helps us gauge whether our process and aesthetic are a match for your project.
INITIAL CONSULTATION
We meet on site to discuss the scope of your project, get an idea of your lifestyle, understand your style preferences, go over functional requirements and discuss budget & time frame. This is also the time for a face-to-face designer/client chemistry check.
QUOTE
Based on what was discussed during the initial consultation we create a detailed quote, breaking down our services, design costs and our fees. This is to ensure you understand and are comfortable with the overall budget before moving forward.
PROJECT AGREEMENT + RETAINER
We collect a retainer of the design fee upon the signature of our design agreement. The agreement will outline our Terms & Conditions as well as your project scope and budget.
MEASUREMENTS + PHOTOGRAPHS
If necessary, we come back to measure the rooms and take detailed ‘before’ pictures. If you already have architectural floor plans we will ask for copies at this stage.
VISION
We start the creative process by putting together a brief presentation that outlines our initial vision for your home/space, which will include concepts for things like color scheme, texture, and overall feel. This helps ensure we’re on the same page before moving onto detailed design.
DESIGN + SOURCING
Based on the established scope and vision, we get to work designing your home/space. This phase takes several weeks, during which we create each bespoke design element and source all the pieces that will bring the vision together, from large furniture items down to finishing touches like linens and decorative objects.
PRESENTATION + REVISIONS
We will then present our design to you, using floor plans, elevations, visual boards and samples. We can either come to your home or schedule a video call. You will be given a digital copy of the presentation to think it through. Samples can also be ordered for you. This is the time to make any modifications, to make sure the overall design is just right.
APPROVAL + PROCUREMENT
Once the selections are validated we send out a proposal allowing you to formally finalize the approval of each item. We collect payment, after that, you can simply sit back and relax while we handle the purchasing and tracking of each order. They are received, inspected and stored at our partner receiving warehouse until installation day.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT + SITE VISITS
In the meantime, we get started on the foundation work with trusted contractors, whether it be electrical work, wallpaper application, millwork installation… We provide tradespeople with all the technical information they will need. We conduct site visits according to the scope of your project to ensure the work is being executed according to our specifications.
INSTALLATION
Finally, much like a glorified move-in day, under our supervision and in your absence, the installation crew will thoughtfully place every piece of furniture, art and accessory. All the curated details and final touches come together to bring the original vision to life.
